The last car built here without a screen between the throttle and the engine.
Naturally aspirated, rear-drive, and unassisted. The V8 is a flat-plane crank unit that revs to nine thousand and is fed by nothing but air and its own inlet tracts. There is no turbocharger, no hybrid system and no cylinder deactivation.
The only concession to the present is the gearbox, which is a seven-speed dual clutch because a manual would have cost the car two tenths and its homologation. Everything else is a decision that was available in 1995 and has simply not been revisited.
The bodywork is a single unbroken line from the headlamp to the tail. No feature line crosses another. Air is routed under the car rather than through it, which is why the flanks are clean and the drag figure is not.
